Best Korean Beauty Products at Ulta

Interested to know what the best Korean beauty products and brands at Ulta are? I have been obsessed with Asian beauty for years, and I was so excited when Ulta finally started carrying some of my favorite brands. Finally, no more sketchy websites and waiting for long shipping times! If you’re new to Kbeauty, here are some of my favorite viral products at Ulta. Are Kbeauty products better at Sephora or Ulta?

You may remember I wrote a very similar post not too long ago about Korean beauty products at Sephora. So which store carries the best Kbeauty products? To be completely honest, I think Ulta has better Kbeauty brands. Ulta carries a better variety of Kbeauty products, including many cult favorite, gone-viral items. I personally use many of the products from Ulta. Here are some of the most well-known brands they carry:

Best KBeauty Brands at Ulta

COSRX

COSRX is a wildly popular Kbeauty brand known for highlighting quality ingredients with no fuss. Their packaging is simple, and their products are great for sensitive skin as they are gentle and mostly unscented. I always keep a pack of their pimple patches on hand. I’ve also used their BHA blackhead power liquid, which I loved (I have to admit, though, I switched to Paula’s Choice for my BHA, as I think it works better). Other COSRX that have got rave reviews on Reddit include their snail mucin line, although I haven’t tried it myself.

Banila Co

Banila Co went viral for their Clean It Zero cleansing balm, which was one of the first cleansing balms on the market. It works just as well as the Farmacy Green Clean cleansing balm, but when comparing price per ounce, it’s less than HALF the cost of the Green Clean. Banila Co’s Miss Flower and Mr. Honey line of products have also gotten rave reviews recently, but I have to admit I haven’t tried it yet. It’s definitely on my list to purchase, though!

Dear Klairs

Dear Klairs is HANDS DOWN my absolute favorite Korean beauty line for skincare! I love their supple preparation toner: it’s super hydrating and full of great ingredients that calm and soothe sensitive skin. I’ve also loved their Freshly Juiced Vitamin C serum, which made my skin hydrated and glowy (Note: I have not used a vitamin C serum that I felt actually worked on my dark spots, but my skin was at least happy and hydrated with this one). I’m currently working through a jar of the Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask, which, although it feels really nice on my skin, does have a bit of a stronger scent than their other products. My favorite product, though, is their Midnight Blue Calming Cream. It’s a medium weight moisturizer that has antiaging ingredients like peptides and also soothing ingredients like Centella Asiatica. I’ve gone through two bottles of it already!

Skinfood

Skinfood is one of the OG Kbeauty brands that first went viral worldwide! They are most famous for their Black Sugar Mask, which is a wash off mask that gives gentle physical exfoliation. I also really love their Rice Mask, which is for skin brightening. Honestly, all of their masks are generally well liked. I’ve also been hearing a lot of great things about their propolis line as well, which is on my list to try.

Korean Makeup at Ulta: VDL and Holika Holika

As you can see, most of the Kbeauty available at Ulta falls into the skincare category. However, they do carry some Korean makeup products with reputable brands.

Holika Holika is a pretty well known Korean makeup brand. While I have not personally used their products myself, their mascaras have gotten good reviews on Reddit.

VDL is a Korean brand popular for their face makeup. Again, I have not personally used their products, as I don’t wear foundation these days, but their primers and foundation seem to be well received on internet forums.
