Happy Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day 2021!

Hi everyone! February is turning out to be a very busy month with Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day being only two days apart. Since we’re all still staying at home in #quarantine, I tried to set up some fun kids photoshoots to celebrate.

Easy Lunar New Year Kids Photos

Luckily, with the kids so young, it’s pretty easy to get them to take random photos around the house. They don’t even realize that they’re missing out on a big Chinese feast and lots of red envelope money this year 😛

But one easy way to get fun photos for Lunar New Year is to bust out those red envelopes anyway and scatter them all around.

Adults can get in on the fun too by fanning them out.

Jemma’s favorite photos are the ones where we throw them up in the air.

Where to Find Kids’ Cheongsam

Don’t forget to wear your cheongsam! Mine is a jumpsuit that I got from Singapore, but the kids’ are from Amazon. You can find Juliet’s onesie here and Jemma’s here.

Easy Kids’ Valentines Photo Ideas

I was woefully unprepared for Valentine’s photos. Thankfully, I had a hand-me-down onesie from our good friend Elizabeth that fit Juliet perfectly. I layered on some shiny lipstick and gave her a couple smooches. Perfect photo op!

This shiny coral lipstick from Sephora was only $14, and I actually genuinely loved it. Turns out I’m not the only one…

I saw some photos of toddlers doing a “playing with mommy’s makeup” pose. I thought it would be super cute for Jemma to get in on the trend.

But somehow it ended up looking like the Joker?

I’m just glad she didn’t smear it all over our clothes and furniture.

Styling Food Boards For Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day

For some non-kid related photos, I thought now would be a great time to try out my new serving board from Target. It’s only $21!

Anyway, we had some fun this past week! Hope you all have a great February too!
